Cause Without U It's Just An Ordinary World!

SNee,

This beautiful song is especially dedicated to YOU!

Whenever I listen to this song, YOU would appear before my eyes!

I would close my eyes and to feel that I'm holding YOU close to me!

With tears brimming and rolling down!

Every word in this song encapsulates the feelings of emptiness of a mother's love for YOU!

'There's no Life in this hollow heart of mine ever since YOU went away!'

Missing YOU all the time!

Remembering U In A Rose Poem!

SNee,

Below is a lovely poem sent by Phebe through email!

"I read this poem which reminded me of SNee, I think it is quite nice. Not sure who wrote it though:

Near a shady wall a rose once grew,
Budded and blossomed in God's free light,
Watered and fed by morning dew,
Shedding it's sweetness by day and by night.

As it grew and blossomed, fair and tall,
Slowly rising to loftier height,
It came to a crevice in the wall,
Through which there shone a beam of light.

Onward it crept with added strength,
With never a thought of fear of pride,
It followed the light through the crevice length,
And unfolded itself on the other side.

The light, the dew, the broadening view
Were found the same as they were before,
And it lost itself in beauties new,
Breathing it's fragrance more and more.
Shall claim of death cause us to grieve
And make our courage faint and fall?
Nay, let us faith and hope receive;
The rose still grows beyond the wall.

Scattering fragrance far and wide
Just as it did in days of yore,
Just as it did on the other side,
Just as it will, forever more.

-Anon

Hope this continues to encourage you all. Stand firm!

Blessings,

Phebe =)"

SNee loves flowers, especially roses. I could still remember when she was at Westmead Hospital - she would always say, 'My lovely garden!' each time she opened her eyes (rows of flowers were placed in front of her bed for her daily viewing)!

Missing you all the timeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

Thanks Phebe for remembering her!

The Lament of a Retired Lawyer

SNee,

While clearing a working table, I chanced upon a poem written by a D.S.K. I would like to share it with you.

The persona displays a mixture of emotions - anger, madness at the profession? But feels 'free' and happy now that he's out of it. The poem reveals a sentiment that is well brought out in simple language and imagery!

On Retirement Of A Lawyer

Image from www.clipartguide.com

The Judges can

Kiss my ass

I am retired at last

I lost all my cases and appeals

But I had my share of whisky cases and beers

That kept me in good cheer

But gals still like

My marbles

I can now yell

Clients can go to hell

No more at their beck and call

I say to them "f... you all

I have your money!??

Gals now stick

To me like honey

I can play and pray

As and when I like

No more do I have to lie in court

When I can lie in bed

For all I care.

Hope Quotes! To Perk Up Our Spirits?

SNee,

Depressing news abound everywhere, are we just going to sit back and be 'drowned' by them daily? No way, we have to work out something! The first step is to perk up our spirits and to keep it burning through rough seas!

Well, Aunty Ruth just sent a set of quotes which I feel would help to boost our dampened souls - bringing hopes and inspirations to lift up our spirits instead of lamenting and letting our drives be submerged in sorrows!

These quotes are well presented by Funzug.com

Thank you Ruth.
